Listening Section (30 minutes),

The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes. In CD IELTS, all the sections are conducted on the same day whereas in the paper based the Listening, Reading and Writing tests are done in one sitting. The Speaking test is usually up to seven days before or after the other tests.'
CD IELTS (Computer Delivered IELTS) is delivered through a computer where you have to mark your answers on the computer screen and writing assignments are typed on the computer. In the paper test, you have to mark the answers in the answer sheets. In case, your handwriting is less legible, take CD IELTS. Also, CD IELTS result comes in 6 days as compared to 13 days for the conventional test.
IELTS General is taken for Immigration and Work Permit purposes and IELTS Academic is taken for the purpose of higher studies in many countries. IELTS Academic is also required for work permit for education and medical professionals.
